What fabrics do we use at Mauties Mama?

At Mauties Mama, we are all about quality, sustainability and comfort. The fabrics we use are carefully selected to ensure that they are not only soft and safe for your baby, but also environmentally and socially responsible. Below you will find an overview of the materials we use and why we have chosen them.

OEKO-TEX 100 Certificate

Many of our fabrics have the OEKO-TEX 100 certificate , an internationally recognized quality mark that guarantees that the cotton is free from harmful substances. This means that you can confidently choose products that are safe for your baby's sensitive skin. In addition, OEKO-TEX contributes to a smaller environmental impact in the production of cotton. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) Certificate

We also use fabrics with the GOTS certificate , which offers the highest standard for organic textiles. GOTS guarantees that at least 70% of the materials used are organically produced. In addition, it sets strict requirements for social conditions, such as a ban on child labor and a minimum wage. Products with this quality mark support safe and fair working conditions and contribute to a more sustainable textile industry.

Cold foam – For extra comfort and durability

For our GOLD baby nests we consciously choose cold foam, a high-quality material with exceptional properties:

  • Resilient and therefore lasts extra long.
  • Hypoallergenic , which reduces the chance of allergic reactions.
  • Ventilating thanks to the open structure and quick drying capacity.
  • Temperature regulating , ideal for keeping your little one comfortable.

These properties make cold foam perfect for the support and comfort your baby deserves.

Fiberfill – Soft and durable filling

Fiberfill is our choice for products such as playpen mats and basic baby nests . This material is:

  • Wonderfully soft and airy, ideal for comfortable lying.
  • Strong and durable so it will last a long time.
    Fiberfill gives a fine structure to our products, without compromising on softness or safety.

All fabrics are personally and carefully selected by Mauties Mama. We take into account the trends, the classic look, and especially a lot of choice! We always make sure that we have the basic waffle fabric colors, which we recently expanded to 12 different colors. If you are a little afraid that the color will not turn out as in the picture, order a fabric sample here .

Sometimes it happens that a fabric color deviates slightly from the photo, this has to do with a new delivery of the fabrics that have been colored in a new dye bath. Also keep this in mind when you put together products. If you order something later, the color may deviate from the previous order.

If you have chosen to compose yourself, first choose the desired product that you want to receive. With the chosen product you determine the price and amount of fabric that is needed. Below you can see per product how much fabric you can put in the shopping cart. This way we keep track of the available fabric quantity and you could possibly see for yourself whether your entire trousseau can be made from the chosen fabric. Our fabric collection is constantly being expanded, so that composing yourself becomes easier and clearer.
